Please note as we are non profit organisation your membership fee will be recorded as a donation. All new members will be confirmed once accepted by the Tasmanian BBQ Society committee.
KING OF THE KETTLE 3 2018 Series
Sunday June 10th 2018 at the Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival in St Helens.
1st Prize $250 cash, JG Offset Plate worth $110 and trophy.
2nd Prize $150 cash and trophy.
3rd Prize $100 cash and trophy.
Limited to 10 teams so get in quick!!
All scores attained will go toward the 2018 King of the Kettle Grand Champion. Teams will be required to compete in a minimum of 3/6 KOTK competitions to qualify for 2018 KOTK GC.
Team Captains must be active members of the Tasmanian BBQ Society in order to enter a team into KOTK competitions.
Please note as we are a non profit organisation your entry fee will be recorder as a donation and as such is non refundable. All teams Captains registering in King of the Kettle competitions MUST be active TBBQS members. St Helens Judging Positions King of the Kettle 3 June 10 2018
DO NOT BOOK YOUR PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT A FULLY QUALIFIED TBBQS JUDGE AND HAVE NOT SAT THE OFFICIAL TBBQS JUDGING COURSE!
To book your position as a judge we require a $25 deposit to ensure that we have fully qualified TBBQS judges available on the day.
Please note the $25 will be refunded the following week of the competition.
JUDGING IS FREE - the fee is strictly to ensure attendance by those that book.
KANSAS CITY BARBECUE SOCIETY OFFICIAL JUDGING COURSE 6TH JULY 2018 HOBART
Want to become an internationally recognised BBQ Judge with the world most reputable and longest serving sanctioning body the Kansas City Barbecue Society? Then this course is a must!
Whether you're thinking or judging a KCBS event or competing in one, this course will give you all of the information required and qualify you to judge at any KCBS competition in Australia and the world, as well as give you inside information on what the judges are looking for when scoring so as to help you win Grand Champion!
Course date Friday the 6th of July 2018 at Blundstone Arena Hobart, Tasmania.
Start time 1:30pm - Finish 6pm.
The course will cover all aspects of KCBS rules, scoring, and specific techniques used to professionally judge team entries on taste, tenderness and appearance. The course concludes with a mock judging section where you will be required to judge, chicken, pork ribs, pork and brisket the 4 main categories is KCBS Mater series competitions.
