Please note as we are non profit organisation your membership fee will be recorded as a donation. All new members will be confirmed once accepted by the Tasmanian BBQ Society committee.
Crown Inn Judging Positions King of the Kettle 4 August 4th 2018
DO NOT BOOK YOUR PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT A FULLY QUALIFIED TBBQS JUDGE AND HAVE NOT SAT THE OFFICIAL TBBQS JUDGING COURSE!
To book your position as a judge we require a $25 deposit to ensure that we have fully qualified TBBQS judges available on the day.
Please note the $25 will be refunded the following week of the competition.
JUDGING IS FREE - the fee is strictly to ensure attendance by those that book.
King of the Kettle 4 Crown Inn Pontville 4th of August 2018
The 4th of 6 King of the Kettle competitions to be held throughout 2018.
- Special Category - Tasmanian Salmon thanks to Tassal (supplied free). Please note this replaces "dessert category".
This will be the last KOTK held in the South of Tasmania in 2018. The remaining two will be held in Launceston.
Saturday August 4th 2018 at the Crown Inn Pontville.
1st Prize $250 cash, JG Offset Plate worth $110 and trophy.
2nd Prize $150 cash and trophy.
3rd Prize $100 cash and trophy.
Limited to 10 teams so get in quick!!
All scores attained will go toward the 2018 King of the Kettle Grand Champion. Teams will be required to compete in a minimum of 3/6 KOTK competitions to qualify for 2018 KOTK GC.
Team Captains must be active members of the Tasmanian BBQ Society in order to enter a team into KOTK competitions.

BEST BURGER JUNIOR BBQ COMPETITION AUGUST 4TH 2018 CROWN INN PONTVILLE
Think you're a pretty good cook? Know how to make a burger? Enter the Crown Inn Junior BBQ Competition and you could win cash, prizes and trophies!
Entry to the Junior BBQ competition is free!
Entrants must be 15 years or younger to enter the junior competition. Parental supervision recommended.
All ingredients supplied: Including minced beef from Fingal Meatworks (egg binder already added) and Burger bun, beetroot, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, spices and sauces thanks to The Hayshed Café Fingal.
Juniors must make their own patties using the spices provided then hand them over to be cooked by a TBBQS representative. Once cooked Juniors will need to assemble their burgers using the ingredients provided and submit their entry for Judging.
Start time 11am. Judging 1pm.
All you have to do is add how many kids to the cart then checkout - you wont be charged.
1st Place $30 + trophy.
2nd Place $20 + trophy.
3rd Place $10 + trophy.

THE "BEEF OFF"
CIRCULAR HEAD TASMANIA
29 & 30TH SEPTEMBER 2018
You have been formally invited to attend this years Pitmaster Invitational.
4 categories - Robins Island Wagyu Brisket, Cape Grim Ox Brisket, 12 x Cape Grim Ox Ribs, 3 x Cape Grim Rib Eye Steaks. Meat will be supplied and is included in entry fee. All teams will cook the same meats.
All teams are supplied the above meat and basic spices only for use in the competition. No other meats or dry spices can be used during the competition.
Teams will be required to bring their own smokers and sauces, as well as all other equipment required to compete.
Interested teams will also be given the option to vend after submission of entries for judging (FROM 12-3PM SUNDAY THE 30TH). Teams will be required to adhere to the councils health and safety policies and procedures as well as undergo an additional site inspection prior to vending. Temporary food permits are included in the entry fee but will need to be completed in advance. Each team will also be required to bring their own food boxes, napkins, cutlery etc for use with food sales.
Winner takes all! Over $2,000 in cash and prizes.
